ROBOCOP

Sinopsis:

La serie televisiva RoboCop (RoboCop, 1994-1995) [el piloto se editó en vídeo como RoboCop 4, y algunos montajes de posteriores episodios con numeración sucesiva]: Diez años tras la película original de Robocop, Delta City, considerada "el lugar más seguro de la Tierra", se ha convertido en una ciudad futurista propiedad de OCP, y RoboCop, Alex Murphy ha empezado a notar la edad. Murphy se encuentra casi obsoleto, y tiene que aceptar que su hijo ahora adulto, James, es un ejecutivo de OCP, ignorante de que su padre sigue vivo. ROBOCOP - PRIME DIRECTIVES

Sinopsis:

Después de las tres películas y la serie de televisión, Robocop vuelve a la pequeña pantalla en 2001 con una miniserie de cuatro capítulos titulada Prime directives.
Tras diez años de construcción, Delta City ha sustituido a la vieja ciudad de Detroit y una sociedad perfecta habita en sus calles. El efecto del tiempo no es ajeno a Robocop quien, a pesar de los años sigue patrullando las calles investigando los destrozos realizados por un vigilante que se hace llamar Bone Machine. Sinopsis:

Sinopsis:

MUNDO PRIMITIVO

Sinopsis:

Cuando investiga junto a su equipo la aparición de un animal desconocido en el bosque de Dean (donde su mujer, Helen, fue vista por última vez hace ocho años), el zoólogo Nick Cutter encuentra a Claudia Brown, una funcionaria del Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología con la misma misión.
Mientras tanto, Abby Lister, una especialista en reptiles del zoo de Londres, comprueba que un extraño animal encontrado por un niño en el bosque pertenece a una especie extinguida hace cientos de millones de años. Cuando acuden al lugar en el que apareció esa extraña iguana, Abby y el niño tienen que hacer frente a un terrorífico predador, el más peligroso de cuantos habitaron en el periodo pérmico.
Tras la aclamada serie documental Caminando con dinosaurios -en la que, con avanzadas técnicas digitales, se recreaba la vida de animales prehistóricos-, la BBC devuelve a la vida a los dinosaurios en esta serie de ficción de seis capítulos, llena de acción, aventuras y espectaculares efectos especiales, en la que un zoólogo descubre que unos agujeros en la barrera del tiempo han permitido a criaturas de otras épocas deambular por el mundo actual.

Sinopsis:

Más allá del límite o Cuentos asombrosos, cada episodio de la serie plantea personajes (interpretados por actores como Amanda Plummer, Lloyd Bridges, C. Thomas Howell, Rebecca de Mornay o Charlton Heston) y situaciones distintos, siempre acerca de la exploración de nuevas fronteras de la tecnología, sea en la Tierra, en el espacio exterior o en dimensiones alternativas.
Desde visitas de extraterrestres a nuestro planeta hasta la vida después de la muerte, todos los temas clave de la ciencia-ficción tendrán su lugar en Más allá del límite. Por ejemplo, un robot encargado de cuidar y vigilar a un tetrapléjico se enamora de su paciente y siente celos de las mujeres que se acercan a él. En otro episodio, un millonario paga a un científico para que le ayude a engañar a la muerte. Y en otro, dos hermanos que trabajan en una importante compañía farmacéutica luchan por controlar el desarrollo de un medicamento de imprevisibles efectos.
Más allá del límite es la nueva versión de la serie clásica que solo se mantuvo dos años en la cadena ABC y que surgió debido al éxito obtenido por En los límites de la realidad. Cada cadena intentó imitar el formato, y así ABC lanzó en 1963 esta serie, creada por Leslie Stevens, aunque los grandes valedores de la serie serían Joseph Stefano, guionista de Psicosis, y el director de fotografía Conrad Hall. A pesar del éxito de la primera temporada, intromisiones de la cadena provocaron la marcha de Stefano y Stevens, una bajada considerable del presupuesto y finalmente la cancelación de la serie en 1965.
Tras varios intentos de resucitar la serie, no fue hasta 1994 cuando gracias a MGM cuando Más allá del límite volvió a ver la luz. La serie se estrenó directamente en la cadena por cable, Showtime y contó en su staff técnico, como productores consultivos, con Stevens y Stefano.
Más allá del límite se mantuvo en antena durante siete temporadas, desde 1995 hasta 2002. Aunque en sus últimas temporadas la serie pasó a emitirse en Sci Fi Channel.
Premiada con numerosos galardones (Emmys, Saturn Awards, Gemini...), Más allá del límite recupera el espíritu de la legendaria serie del mismo título emitida en los años 60 y, al igual que en aquella, ofrece en cada episodio una aventura que trata de explorar los límites del conocimiento, la imaginación, la sensibilidad y los miedos del ser humano. Ciencia-ficción, suspense, fantasía y horror son los ingredientes de esta producción, cuyos capítulos, siempre independientes, se han ido poniendo al día siguiendo de cerca los temas más polémicos de la actualidad. Experiencias de vida después de la muerte, viajes en el tiempo, visiones distópicas del futuro, la manipulación genética y sus consecuencias, los peligros de la evolución tecnológica, el contacto con entidades extraterrestres... Nunca se sabe lo que nos espera Más allá del límite..
